A rare pathogen for subacute osteomyelitis in adolescent: Serratia marcescens

Abstract: HighlightsSerratia species are rare pathogens for osteomyelitis.Orthopedic surgeons should be aware of opportunistic microorganism like serratia.Osteomyelitis is one of the factors for union delay or nonunion, we should be alert.Osteomyelitis treatment consists of debridement and antibiotics.
