Abstract:Background
The SGCs are a rare cause of respiratory distress in infants. Typical risk factors include male gender, extreme prematurity, gastro-oesophageal reflux and mechanic intubation, the latter being associated with mucosal damage and blockage of the subglottic cysts’ ducts.
