Abstract: Background Immunoglobulin A dominant postinfectious glomerulonephritis (IgA PIGN) is a unique medical entity that is rare in the paediatric population. It usually presents with severe renal failure, heavy proteinuria, hypertension, and hypocomplementemia and frequently has an unfavourable prognosis.
