Calcifying fibrous pseudoneoplasm, also known as calcifying pseudoneoplasm of the neuraxis (CAPNON) when found in the central nervous system, are rare pathological entities that are benign non-neoplastic fibrous lesions 1,9,10,19) . It's usually found in patients who are above 50 years and, in some cases, is associated with neurofibromatosis type 2 4,5,14) . The disease may be found in the peritoneum, neck, mediastinum, breast, extremities, central nervous system, and spinal cord 11,12) .
