“…Indeed, the linear 1,4-benzeneditetrazole (H 2 BDT) 8 and flat triangular 1,3,5-benzene- hedral' tetrazolates and involving chloride anions as coligands, serve as an interesting example of variability of coordination-bonded cluster geometry and size due to involvement of short halido bridges. 16,20 It was conjectured that mixed tetrazolato/halido coordination polymers constitute an interesting compound class with 'scalable' multinuclear clusters, 20 which are interesting either as robust SBUs or possibly as functional magnetic units. In this contribution we probed the practically unexplored 1,3,5,7-tetrakis(tetrazol-5yl)adamantane ligand (H 4 L) as a building block for coordination polymers using conditions favoring formation of tetrazolato/halido clusters (Scheme 1).…”

“…14,15 Notable examples are coordination polymers with the fluorite structure, based on eight-connected SBUs, which are found either for tetrazolates [16][17][18] and recently for carboxylate building blocks. 19 To the best of our knowledge there are five papers devoted to 'tetrahedral' azole/azolate ligands, namely tetrazole [16][17][18]20 and triazole 21 functionalized ones. Two manganese compounds, 16,20 based on similar 'tetrahedral' tetrazolates and involving chloride anions as coligands, serve as an interesting example of variability of coordination-bonded cluster geometry and size due to involvement of short halido bridges.…”

“…The gas sorption of CO 2 /CH 4 was also performed at 273K ( Supplementary Figure 9 ), and the CO 2 /CH 4 uptake is 29.6/11.0 cm 3 g −1 (0.58/0.08 wt.%) at 1 atm, respectively. Interestingly, the hysteresis effect is found for the CO 2 sorption of 1a , the reason of which might be the interactions of framework with CO 2 to hinder the CO 2 from the host framework in the sorption/desorption procedure (Biswas et al, 2013 ; Boldog et al, 2013 ; Liang et al, 2013 ; Han et al, 2017 ). Further, the PXRD patterns still closely matched well with the stimulated patterns of 1 ( Supplementary Figure 6 ), indicating that the sample after heating retained the intact host framework.…”

“…The Co II /Mn II ‐based coordination compounds have attracted considerable attention due to their magnetism 4,38,39. From a magnetic point of view, the couplings through L2 in compound 2 are almost negligible 40.…”
