Similarly a cadmium filter shows an effect of about 30% [3] and this was used by CROALL and WILLIS to study the yields of 77 As and 78 As [4]. The yield of ,2 Zn in the epi-Sm fission of 239 Pu has been measured and was found to be 30 + 1% lower than in the fission of 23, Pu caused by reactor-spectrum neutrons. Similarly the yields for 115 Cd and 112 Pd were found to be lower by 46 + 1% and 24 + 3%, respectively. The yields of 97 Zr, 9 'Nb, 99 Mo-99 Tc, 132 Te, 132 1, 133 1, 135 Xe, 143 Ce did not show any significant fluctuations. The results are consistent with the two-mode fission hypothesis. ZusammenfassungDie Ausbeute von 72 Zn in der epi-Sm Spaltung von 239 Pu wurde gemessen. Sie ist 30 + 1% niedriger als in der Plutoniumspaltung mit Reaktorneutronen. In ähnlicher Weise sind die Ausbeuten von 115 Cd und 112 Pd um 46 + 1% und 24 ± 3% niedriger. Die Ausbeuten von <"Zr, 97 Nb, "Mo-"Tc, 132 Te, 132 1, 133 1, 135 Xe, 143 Ce zeigten keine nennenswerten Schwankungen. Die Ergebnisse stimmen mit der "two-mode" Spalthypothese überein. R6sunräOn a mesure le rendement en ,2 Zn resultant de la fission epi-Sm du 239 Pu. II est inferieur de 30 ± 1% au rendement obtenu dans la fission du plutonium par neutrons thermiques. De meme, les rendements en 115 Cd et en JI2 Pd sont inferieurs respectivement de 46 + 1% et de 24 τ 3%. On n'a pas observe de variations notables pour los rendements en 97 Zr, 97 Nb, " e Mo-"Tc, 132 I, 133 1, 135 Xe, 143 Ce. Ces resultats correspondent ä l'hypothese de fission «ä deux modes».
