Abstract: Radiographic contrast nephropathy (RCN), acute worsening of renal function due to contrast agents, can occur in 15%-40% of patients with baseline renal dysfunction undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and is associated with increased morbidity and in-hospital mortality.
