A prospective study of spray cryotherapy in patients with COPD

Abstract: A total of eight patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) were recruited and evaluated for improvements in lung function, exercise capacity, airway morphology and quality of life before and after undergoing spray cryotherapy (SCT) treatment. CAT, COPD assessment test; HE, haematoxylin and eosin; LCQ, Leicester Cough Questionnaire; PAS, periodic acid Schiff; SGRQ, St. George's Respiratory Questionnaire; 6MWD, 6-min walking distance.
