Information Technology (IT) Disaster Recovery Planning (IT DRP) and Business Continuity (BC) are essential components of an organization’s overall resilience strategy. IT DRP focuses on the recovery and restoration of IT systems, infrastructure, and services in the event of a disruptive incident or disaster, aiming to minimize downtime and data loss. BC, on the other hand, encompasses a broader perspective, addressing the organization's ability to maintain essential operations and deliver critical services during and after a disruption. This paper provides an overview of IT DRP and BC, highlighting their importance, challenges, and strategies. It also identifies the research gaps and future research scope in these areas. The findings indicate that both IT DRP and BC face challenges in their effective implementation. These challenges include the evolving nature of technology, increasing complexity of IT systems, budget constraints, organizational resistance to change, and the need for skilled personnel. Overcoming these challenges requires a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s IT infrastructure, risk assessment, and the development of robust recovery strategies and plans. It is also noted that despite considerable research on IT DRP and BC, there are several research gaps that deserve attention. These include the development of advanced technologies and tools for more efficient recovery and continuity, the integration of IT DRP and BC with overall organizational risk management, the impact of emerging technologies such as cloud computing and virtualization on recovery strategies, and the evaluation of the effectiveness and cost-efficiency of different IT DRP and BC strategies.

The world will start a new era of society where technology and humans can collaborate to solve social problems. Many countries have ridden into the 4.0 era in the industrial revolution. In reality, Japan began to introduce Society 5.0, where the concept was the answer to the industrial revolution 4.0. Society 5.0 applies the human-centered concept based on information technology. In fact, there has been no in-depth study of the advantages and challenges of implementing paperless in various fields. The purpose of this paper is to review the challenges and the advantages of the paperless concept using Narrative Literature Review to provide an objective analysis of the paperless concept. The objects research discussed including industry/manufacturing, education, medical, and government. This paper provides an in-depth study and analysis of the paperless concept's advantages and challenges related to hardware and software maintenance, data security and reliability, human resources technical skills, social interaction, and disaster recovery strategy.

Abstract: Nowadays, data has been produced in a larger amount. So, it is important to have some recovery issues also related to it. Cloud computing refers to the interconnection of various systems for the purpose of sharing resources. Cloud is one of the largest platforms that is growing rapidly in the IT sector. There are many private data that are related to cloud. Therefor the need for data recovery in the cloud is gaining more importance day by day. For this an efficient and effective data recovery techniques are to be developed. Recovery of data helps the users to collect information on any backup servers whenever the server is down. Many solutions have been developed for the disaster recovery. This research paper mainly discusses about some of the techniques and solutions that are needed to recover the data in cloud architectures. This work proposed snapshot based backup technique for the databases and implemented successfully.
