More than a decade ago, guidelines for the development of maturity models were proposed in the form of procedure models. In theory, such procedure models provide scholars with guidance, but does the scientific community actually use them according to their intended purpose. This paper conducts a citation analysis and identifies an impressive number of citations. However, it is noteworthy that the publications are mainly cited for other reasons, such as the components or the general purposes of maturity models. The analysis also provides indications that many maturity models are developed without using a procedure model. Despite the fact that methodological rigor is considered a crucial criterion for publishing articles, maturity model designers might have concerns about using domain-specific procedure models. Future studies should address the reasons for this reluctance.

<span>Evaluation in enterprise architecture (EA) project is crucial to provide comprehensive information of the developed EA artefacts. It may assist in accurate evaluation of implemented Information Systems (ISs) in order to realize the achievement of EA’s goals and support EA decision makers. This research aims to identify and elaborate the existing issues of EA evaluation models. One of the crucial identified issues is to understand, capture and represent core aspects of EA artefacts. Most existing evaluation models do not provide structured approach which cover comprehensive aspect of EA implementation and some do not provide good practices to be applied. Hence, this research intends to cover the gap by exploring critical issues in EA implementation evaluation and elaborating main shortcomings of the reviewed EA models and methods through a systematic literature review</span>

Abstract-Current approaches for enterprise architecture lack analytical instruments for cyclic evaluations of business and system architectures in real business enterprise system environments. This impedes the broad use of enterprise architecture methodologies. Furthermore, the permanent evolution of systems desynchronizes quickly model representation and reality. Therefore we are introducing an approach for complementing the existing top-down approach for the creation of enterprise architecture with a bottom approach. Enterprise Architecture Analytics uses the architectural information contained in many infrastructures to provide architectural information. By applying Big Data technologies it is possible to exploit this information and to create architectural information. That means, Enterprise Architectures may be discovered, analyzed and optimized using analytics. The increased availability of architectural data also improves the possibilities to verify the compliance of Enterprise Architectures. Architectural decisions are linked to clustered architecture artifacts and categories according to a holistic EAM Reference Architecture with specific architecture metamodels. A special suited EAM Maturity Framework provides the base for systematic and analytics supported assessments of architecture capabilities.
