A Profile of the Public Health Worker

Abstract: This description of the public health worker is based on a study of 1,129 workers in state and local health departments In addition to his work experience in other fields, the average worker had public health experience of ten and a half years' duration. Laboratory personnel had least, and medical personnel most, experience in public health (Table 1).
