A Profile of Americans’ Media Use and Political Socialization Effects: Television and the Internet's Relationship to Social Connectedness in the USA

Abstract: This research project traces the media use habits of children and adults. Over time, television consumption is increasing even though computer and Internet activities are also rapidly increasing. The American people are consuming greater amounts of electronic media while traditional newspaper use is declining.
