Process mining in manufacturing is a newly expanding field of research in the application of data mining and machine learning techniques and the focus of business processes. Although it is an exciting subject of the recent past and business processes, sufficient research has not been done. Decision support systems such as enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, and management information systems store the most valuable resource data of process details and event logs. In the advanced information systems of tomorrow, the process management, analysis, and modelling functions of modern enterprises will take their place as a necessity. As a requirement, the fundamental purpose of process mining in production is to refine data from event logs, automatically create process models, compare models with event logs, and improve and make development continuous. Our work is to contribute to application and research studies by drawing attention to process mining in the context of production. It is based on the literature review and primary stages of business process mining publications in the last decade with a production focus. An overview is discussed as a roadmap for future research with meaningful results.

Process mining has been used extensively in recent years to develop the steps of the business and it is an important technique to remove waste and reduce process costs. The aims of this study indicate that congestion, workflow which lived a long time, and stuff or system statistics in the banking real estate transaction process. The process mining practice is applied in bank business loans. In the bank process, the most used and more complicated business is a bank loan transaction. The process mining implementation pattern is created with sample and flow gains of process development. Then, the new workflow is designed and the pattern is executed. In the first stage of the total loan period, 7.84 hours of earnings are obtained. Visualizations of the process have been affected with the help of fuzzy model algorithms necessary for a huge number of incidents and activities. Workflow analysis and gathering information for studies were to be effortless with the support of fuzzy models. As a result of the analysis based on the flows, the knowledge pool is created by getting the knowhow such as the average duration of the process and the deviations in the users or systems. The results indicated that process mining is a significant methodology for developing bank loan transactions and enhancement their performance.

Currently, the process mining aims at an automatic extraction of process knowledge from the event logs recorded by information systems, and, therefore, by using these techniques, it becomes possible to grasp the complex nature of industrial processes. In fact, most of the industrial processes change over time, and through the process mining techniques, it is possible to analyse these processes as if they were in a steady state. Starting to this concept, in this paper, we provide a systematic literature review that analyses the applications of process mining techniques in relation to the industrial context in order to highlight the importance of these new techniques in this scenario. To do the systematic literature review, we use the Tranfield approach (2003), and we identify the most interesting papers in the sector under analysis. After that, an in‐depth analysis of the selected papers was carried out.
