Abstract:A multiphase identification search/match algorithm based on a probability scoring procedure has been designed and implemented as the kernel of the SANDMAN program. The probability distributions associated with the inexactitudes of the line intensities and d spacings (line positions) are discussed. Methods are developed to narrow the widths of the distributions by separating systematic and random errors. The probability-based scoring algorithm is applied to diffractograms exhibiting substantial specimen displac… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
