A Proactive Approach Towards Optimising Drainhole Placement Using "DTB" Technology in an Area Under EOR - A Success Story from Western Onshore Field, India

Abstract: Field X is located in the northern part of Cambay basin, western onshore India. Sand-1 is the main reservoir unit in this field. Primary recovery is low here because Field X is located in the region's heavy oil belt. To increase the recovery factor, thermal EOR technique - Insitu Combustion, has been implemented in various parts of this heavy oil belt.
