Abstract: Rockfalls are among the natural hazards that endanger infrastructure, cause major economic disruptions, and threaten human lives. These phenomena result from long-term geological processes such as tectonic rock deformation or weathering, but the actual rockfall itself occurs suddenly, usually without warning.
