A Polypyrrole Hybrid Material Self-Assembled with Porphyrin: Facial Synthesis and Enhanced Optical Limiting Properties

Abstract: Polypyrrole/porphyrin nanohybrid (PPy/Tpp(OH) 4 nanohybrid) have been synthesized through a self-assembled approach, and the as-synthesized PPy/Tpp(OH) 4 nanohybrid are characterized by Fourier-transform infrared, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, Ultraviolet-visible absorption, scanning electron microscopy, and steady state fluorescence spectroscopic techniques. Formation of the PPy/Tpp(OH) 4 nanohybrid dramatically improved the solubility and processability of … Show more

“…The obvious N1s spectra have appeared only in PPY-coated fabric with N-H (401.1 eV) and C-N-C (399.8 eV) bonds. N1s spectra of PPY-coated confirm the well deposited PPY to the fabric surface [39] , [40] , [36] , [41] .

“…The Raman spectrum of PPy/ASA (0.02) exhibits two principal spectral bands of interest, observed at Raman shift of 1568 cm −1 (G band) and 1337 cm −1 (D band), respectively. Compared between the observed D and G bands for PPy and ASA doped PPy, the blue‐shift of the D band and the G band for PPy/ASA (0.02), may result from the electron transfer process from ASA to PPy 64 …”

“…Compared between the observed D and G bands for PPy and ASA doped PPy, the blue-shift of the D band and the G band for PPy/ASA (0.02), may result from the electron transfer process from ASA to PPy. 64 Transmission electron micrographs of PPy and PPy/ASA were shown in Figure 6. From the TEM image F I G U R E 5 Raman spectra of the polypyrrole (PPy) (black line) and PPy/ASA(002) (red line) of PPy (Figure 6A), the morphology of intact PPy was observed to be a spherical shape.…”

“…This corroborates our estimate of 3 nm for SnO 2 QDs determined from the Scherrer formula of PXRD data. The intense double peaks at 1571 and 1349 cm –1 are accredited to the CC backbone stretching and C–C ring stretching of PPy, respectively. Additionally, the two weak peaks due to ring deformation modes in quinoid bipolaronic and polaronic forms are observed at 960 and 925 cm –1 , respectively …”
