“…As a result, we predict that polyphenol binds mainly with the two fluorophores, Trp-212 buried inside and Trp-134 located on the surface of BSA. This argument is based on the fact that the emissions λ max of Trp-212 and Try-134 are at 340 nm (Figure ), which is the emission region of hidden tryptophan molecules, while fluorescence emission of exposed tryptophan molecule is at higher wavelength (350 nm) due to solvent relaxation. The tightening of protein structure through intramolecular interactions, such as hydrogen bonds, seems to bury Trp-212 in a more hydrophobic environment. The change in fluorescence intensity of Trp-212 and Trp-134 in the presence of polyphenol may arise as a direct quenching or as a result of protein conformational changes induced by polyphenol−BSA complexation.…”

“…20%. The structure 85 was developed by Chen et al 66 who demonstrated the sensing of Zn(II) in a 8 : 2 MeOH : H 2 O solution. The sensing of Zn(II) gave rise to changes in both the UV-Vis and the fluorescence emission spectrum of sensor 85.…”

“…In addition, formaldehyde can serve as a link for two amine moieties and, therefore, metal-directed reaction of coordinated amines and formaldehyde is useful for the preparation of various types of fully saturated hexaazamacrocyclic complexes containing N-CH 2 -N linkings [21]. Typical examples of primary amines side chain, the ''pendant arm'', that have been used so far include propylamine [22,23], ethanolamine [24,25], 1,4-phenylenediamine [26], hydrazine [27], 2-thiophenemethylamine [28], nicotinamide [5], 4-aminobutyric acid [29,30], ethylamine [31], (R)-(? )-1-(1-naphthyl)ethylamine [32], ethylenediamine [33], 1-(3-aminopropyl)-imidazole [34], benzylamine [1,35], and (R/S)-a-methylbenzylamine [36][37][38][39].…”
