Abstract:Augmented fabrication is an upcoming technology which combines digital design with physical manufacturing. Since there is a lack of experimental data on the benefits and experiences of augmented fabrication, a pilot study was done with the Shape Origin, a spatially aware manual CNC cutter. The experiment consisted of engraving a set of boards with circular 2mm groove.
