A Photodetector for Measurement of Metastable H(2S) in Ion-Atom Collisions

Abstract: Aust. J. Phys., 1987,40,47-60 The Stark effect is employed in the detection of fast metastable hydrogen in the energy range 4-24 keV. A consideration of the design of a detector is presented in the light of recent work describing the decay process.
