Multimedia content is commonly manipulated using a keyboard and a mouse. We propose an innovative way of controlling multimedia services using mobile phones equipped with NFC (Near Field Communication) compliant RFID readers. A user activates multimedia content by touching an RFID tag. This action configures the mobile phone as a remote control for the multimedia content. The user sends commands such as play, pause and stop, using the phone's UI. The multimedia content is shown on a wall display. This approach has several benefits: a common and easy-to-use user interface, off-the-self components, and lightweight implementation. We have not created any new technology, but our system makes use of widely used ones. The innovation of our system comes up on how all these technologies are glued together to get a light and flexible system. We present three prototypes: an interactive advertising catalogue, a video player and a slideshow viewer.

The advancement of technology has had an influence on every part of our lives, from banking to the way we connect with one another. Indeed, technology has become an essential component of sustaining civilization, and its incorporation into education is consequently unavoidable. Technology not only gives students access to a plethora of online materials, but it also helps them study. The majority of colleges and educational institutions have already begun to use technology into their teaching techniques. This paper provides in-depth on the effect and impact of the modern technology in the teaching and learning process through reviewing various secondary data. We present a Multi-Agent System (MAS) communication protocol for an Intelligent Learning Management System that provides, among others, collaborative services. The motivation behind this study stems from the need to enhance the possibilities of the current software architecture of the EUME project. Our aim is to improve intelligent resource management and communication efficiency. Our approach consists of applying the FIPA agent paradigm to the entire architecture, thus coming up with a fully multi-agent system. To show how the new system works, we also provide a study of communications in a number of typical collaborative scenarios.
