A passive heat transport system for fusion reactor

Abstract

The paper deals with the application of the passive heat transport concept. This concept differs from the conventional heat transport concept based on the use of a single-phase medium (pressurized water) in application of a two-phase medium (steam-water) and permits to provide the safe decay heat transport from a reactor at emergency cooldown without time limit due to reduced energy store in the loop and absence of active components.
