A One-Dimensional Phase-Modulated (PM) NMR Experiment for Differentiating Spin Systems in Small Molecules Mixtures: With Application to Chiral Discrimination and Bicomponent Organic Systems
Abstract:A one-dimensional phase-modulated NMR experiment, which distinguishes the partially resolved peaks and accelerates the data acquisition due to reduced dimensionality, is reported for differentiating spin systems, with application to chiral discrimination. The multifarious utility of the technique is demonstrated in plenteous examples.
“…38 More recently, selective rather than broadband decoupling methods have been suggested for enantiodiscrimination, offering a more sensitive -although less general-analysis than pure-shift NMR. 32,39 Another field where several methodological advances have enabled new applications is the quality control of complex drug mixtures, with heparin as a common example (Fig. 1B).…”

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
