A Numerical Well Test Model

Abstract: This paper describes a pressure transient analysis model which uses a numerical reservoir simulator to generate the pressure solutions. The accuracy of the solution is controlled by the grid and the wellbore-reservoir interaction. The methods used to construct the grid, and the representation of the wellbore-reservoir interaction are described. The simulation results are compared to a new large compressibility analytic solution, and to conventional analytic solutions.
