A Numerical Model for Understanding the Development of Adhesion during Drying of Cellulose Model Surfaces

Abstract: Adhesion is crucial for the development of mechanical properties in fibre-network materials, such as paper or other cellulose fibre biocomposites. The stress transfer within the network is possible through the fibre–fibre joints, which develop their strength during drying.
