Abstract: Prior studies have shown that ultrasonic velocity/time-of-flight imaging that uses back surface echo reflections to gauge volumetric material quality is well suited (perhaps more so than is the commonlyused peak amplitude c-scanning) for quantitative characterization of microstructural gradients.
