A novel time domain analysis of the modes perturbed by a lossy material in a cavity

Abstract: This study delves into the intricate dynamics of time-domain electromagnetic phenomena within an irregular rectangular cavity perturbed by a lossy conducting body. Focusing on coupled degenerate (singular) TM- and TE- solenoidal modes, the analysis reveals eigenfrequency splitting due to irregularities like a lossy body.
