“…Já no caso da geometria, a correção utilizando um padrão certificado com mesmas dimensões da amostra e um método comparativo, soluciona o problema, porém, isso demanda o trabalho e o tempo de preparar e medir o padrão em condições o mais similares possível com a amostra. Uma alternativa mais prática, que pode ser usada para detectores caracterizados, é a correção matemática da geometria através de simulações, neste caso, basta informar o software utilizado as dimensões da amostra e o mesmo irá simular os ângulos de emissão da radiação e corrigir a eficiência automaticamente [52] Existem diversos tipos de detectores gama como o de iodeto de césio [46,49], iodeto de sódio [46,49], germanato de bismuto [49], brometo de lantânio [49], brometo de cério [49], germânio hiper puro (HPGe) [46] entre outros.
