“…The work was performed using root exudates from two genotypes differing in their tolerance to salt and heat stress: while Carrizo is a salt-sensitive but heat-tolerant citrus rootstock, Macrophylla had the opposite behavior (salt-stress tolerant and heatsensitive,Vives-Peris et al, 2017). Although the role of P. putida as PGPR has been well established in a wide variety of plants as coffee, cocoa or coconut (Kejela et al, 2017; Khadeejath Rajeela et al, 2017), to our knowledge there is no information related the possible effect of Novosphingobium sp. HR1a on plants, although other strains of this genus as Novosphingobium oryzae or Novosphingobium pokkalii have been reported as PGPRs (Krishnan et al, 2017;Zhang et al, 2016).…”

“…These F. oxysporum strains infect and kill many commercially harvested crops such as tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, eggplant, lettuce, legumes, strawberries and other species. This fungus is resistant to most available antifungal drugs, these infections are serious and frequently fatal in mammals [15].…”

“…Penicillium expansum is a blue mold which is a widespread postharvest disease of fruits, resulting in great economic losses during a long-term storage of harvested fruits [14]. Fusarium oxysporum is an ascomycete fungus which infects plants either by mycelia or by germinating spores penetrating the plant roots preventing the plant from transporting nutrients [15].…”

“…Pseudomonas is another widely distributed genus closely associated with plants, both as endophytes or in the rhizosphere (Duijff et al 1997;Ryan et al 2008), and even with a biological control potential against F. oxysporum strains (Kejela et al 2017). In our study, we selected only five Pseudomonas isolates within the group of 24 isolates with higher biopesticide activity.…”
