A Novel Sensorless Fuzzy Sliding-Mode Control of Induction Motor

Abstract: A novel fuzzy sliding-mode structure has been proposed for the model reference adaptive system(MRAS) based sensorless control of an induction motor in this paper. The design includes a hybrid MRAS from measured stator terminal voltages and currents. The estimated speed is used as feedback in an indirect vector control system achieving the speed control without using shaft mounted transducers. Fuzzy sliding-mode structure includes two nonlinear controllers, one of which is sliding mode type and the other is PIf… Show more

“…For this reason, a small research was presented on a switching-table-based direct torque control of multiphase drives [7]. Due to the parametric sensitivity of PID regulator, minimal research has been done to avoid this inconvenient such as in the papers [11][12][13], to solve these problems, the use of a non-linear technique is essential, among them the fuzzy logic, which considered one of the most successful artificial intelligence technique for controlling nonlinear systems, sliding mode control (SMC) which ensuring good system and robustness to external disturbance and parametric variations [14][15][16].…”
