A Novel Scheme for CP-Length Detection and Initial Synchronization for the LTE Downlink

Abstract: In long-term evolution (LTE) systems, there is an option to extend the size of the cyclic-prefix (CP) when the propagation environment is characterized by severe time dispersion.
