A Novel Organosulfonate Cadmium(II) Complex with Graphite‐like 2D Layer Linked by Hydrogen Bonds

Abstract

A novel mixed-ligand complex, [Cd(im) 6 ][Cd(im) 3 -(H 2 O) 3 ] 2 (ans) 6 ·8H 2 O (1), was obtained from the reaction of Cd(OAc) 2 ·2H 2 O, imidazole (im) and sodium 4-aminonaphthalene-1sulfonate tetrahydrate (Na-ans) in a mixed solvent at 25°C. The complex was characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, and Xray single crystal diffraction.
