A Novel Multiple Attribute Satisfaction Evaluation Approach with Hesitant Intuitionistic Linguistic Fuzzy Information

Abstract: This paper investigates the multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problems in which the attribute values take the form of hesitant intuitionistic linguistic fuzzy element (HILFE). Firstly, motivated by the idea of intuitionistic linguistic variables (ILVs) and hesitant fuzzy elements (HFEs), the concept, operational laws, and comparison laws of HILFE are defined. Then, some aggregation operators are developed for aggregating the hesitant intuitionistic linguistic fuzzy information, such as hesitant intuiti… Show more

“…The results are shown in Table 8. From the results we can see that we can get similar ranking results in the proposed method and Yang et al's method 54 . There is little difference in values to be aggregated since different intuitionistic fuzzy values in the proposed method are replaced by the average one.…”

“…Different evaluation information has been used in two methods and different results are reasonable. We further compare it with the method of Yang et al 54 . In Yang et al's method, each linguistic term only has one intuitionistic fuzzy membership.…”

“…For this reason, Wang et.al [15] combined linguistic variables with intuitionistic fuzzy sets and proposed the intuitionistic linguistic sets (IFLSs) . Since the intuitionistic linguistic term set was put forward, it has attracted many scholars to study and discuss it [16][17][18]. Similarly, Peng et.al [19] combined linguistic variables with the Pythagorean fuzzy set, and proposed the Pythagorean fuzzy linguistic sets (PFLSs).…”

“…It has become the beginning of qualitative decision making research. Qualitative decision making has been widely concerned by scholars and successfully applied to many areas [2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]. However, in many practical qualitative decision making cases, it is often difficult for decision makers to express preferences by using a single linguistic term.…”
