A Novel Multi-Functional DSTATCOM with Distribution Generation using FRC Controller

Abstract: Distribution Generation plays a significant role in remote areas where the utility grid is affected and initializing by renewable energy sources to acquire the sufficient power demand. In distribution system, it is very exigent consumer related concern which is confronted due to mis-operation of massive non-linear load apparatus. A multi-functional distributed static compensator incorporates the best choice for enhancing the power quality features with effective control scheme under rambled non-linear loads. C… Show more

“…When a failure is occurred in the ESS, the other units will not be affected, also the use of ESS reinforce the DFIG dc link [23]. The D-STATCOM in its basic structure [26] can only exchange reactive power with the network, but if the voltage source inverter is interconnected with an ESS the D-STATCOM can exchange the active power.…”

“…The maximum thermal capacity of transmission circuits in power systems can be achieved by using flexible AC transmission systems technique that is based on controlled electronic devices [1]. Often, FACTS basically means the regulation of the three basic parameters that directly affect the transmitted AC power capacity that is voltage, impedance and phase angle [2,3].…”
