“…For example, when TR-TI-Flipping chose 13 and 26 as the numbers (L) of PRTs, the numbers (l) of candidate signals with TR would be 53 and 105, respectively. However, because the TR-TI technique yielded 2 separate candidate signals of 5 13 and 5, 26 the massive computation led to difficulties in computer simulation. Therefore, using the conventional TR technique, this study compared the PAPR-reduction efficiency of conventional TR and TR-TI-Flipping techniques in a SC-FDMA system.…”

“…However, although both orthogonal frequency-division multiple access and SC-FDMA have retained the advantages of OFDM, they have also inherited its weaknesses, one of which is the problem of a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). So far, several countermeasures, such as the partial transmit sequence (PTS), 1-3 selective mapping (SLM), [4][5][6] tone reservation (TR), [7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14] block codes, 15,16 and tone injection (TI), 17,18 have been implemented to improve the PAPR. Both the PTS and SLM are types of the multiple signal representation technique.…”

“…Thusly, OFDM has been used in various wireless benchmarks, to be specific, Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB), Terrestrial Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB-T), IEEE 802.11a standard for Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) and the IEEE 802.16a standard [1,2]. A pivotal burden of the OFDM-based plan is its high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) at the transmitter, requiring the use of a linear amplifier that prompts to low power adequacy.…”

“…In this article, two new methods are proposed to reduce PAPR in OFDM/OQAM systems: the overlapped scaling TR (OS-TR) method and the multi-kernel TR (MK-TR) method. These methods exploit the overlapping nature of OFDM/OQAM signals, and thereby exhibit better performances than the controlled clipping TR (CC-TR) and multi-block TR (MB-TR) methods in [19]. Given that adjacent data blocks in the OFDM/OQAM signals overlap with each other-because of the introduction of the filter bank-the OS-TR method scales the filtered clipping noise to produce the peak-cancelling signal, and all the influences of the associated data block overlap are taken into consideration when computing the scaling factors.…”
