A Novel Modeling and Control Design of the Current-Fed Dual Active Bridge Converter under DPDPS Modulation

Abstract: This paper proposes a novel control design for a Current-Fed Dual Active Bridge (CFDAB) converter in boost mode. The Double PWM plus Double Phase Shifted (DPDPS) modulation is applied to the converter due to its considerable merits. A small-signal model is developed to control the output voltage stably in boost mode. Simulations of the control design for the CFDAB converter were conducted to verify the proposed model. The results show that the system can achieve high performance, not only in the dynamic respon… Show more

“…This technique provides knowledge on the permeability and the changes that occur while electric pulses are delivered to the cell membrane [10]. The electroporator consists of electrodes delivering high voltage pulses to the affected site, and other electronic components such as power converters to convert the low voltage to high [11,12]. V. CONCLUSION Electrochemotherapy is an effective technique that uses high voltage electrical pulses to build up the drug transport across the plasma cell membranes.…”

“…To address the aforementioned issues, this paper proposes a particular technological solution to optimize the performance of DC/DC converters used in an AC Battery. Firstly, a current-fed DC/DC converter with a Current Fed Dual Active Bridge (CFDAB) structure [12,13] is employed, where the interleaved boost circuit on the primary side helps reduce current stress, providing soft switching capabilities like Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) to contribute to minimizing switching losses, especially at high frequencies. This topology could also be flexibly modified for the specific application [14,15].…”
