Abstract

SUMMARYHigh yields of cyclic AMP (CAMP) and cyclic GMP (cGMP) could be obtained by near quantitative conversions of adenine and guanine by aerobically-grown mnp r o l i f e r a t i n g c e l l s of Corynebapterium murisepticum. chemically i n several steps from labelled adenine (2,3). The enzymatic method f o r t h e preparation of labelled CAMP f r o m labelled ATF' is cormoercially unsuitable for large scale preparations since it requires e i t h e r purified ATWsef r e e adenyl cyclase o r crude adenyl cyclase with ATP regenerating system ( 4 ) .
