Abstract:BACKGROUND
Chronic heart failure is a serious complication of the terminal stage of coronary heart disease (CHD); both disorders are leading causes of death. B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) is a plasma biomarker of the presence and severity of chronic heart failure.
