“…28,29 Farha's, Chao's, and Chen's groups independently reported pyrene-based isostructural HOFs based on pyrene derivatives with different substituents (carboxy, 4carboxyphenyl, and 6-carboxynaphthalen-2-yl). 19,30,31 Miljanić and coworkers also reported a series of quasi-isotropic fluorinated honeycomb HOFs. 32,33 The weakness of H-bonds is clearly behind the low number of isostructural HOF families.…”

“…This should increase the protein incorporation in the biohybrids. With this in mind, we chose H4PTTNA 51 as the alternative linker (Figure S27). H4PTTNA has a larger p-conjugated system than H4TBAPy, and the strong deprotonation effect was substantiated by calculation that specifically compared the pK a values of H4PTTNA and H4TBAPy, which predict that H4PTTNA (pK a = 6.61, Table S1) is more acidic than H4TBAPy (pK a = 6.90).…”

“…To examine the potentials of HOFs for the challenging C 3 H 6 /C 3 H 8 separation, we compared HOF-16 with other five HOFs (HOF-BTB, [20] HOF-11, HOF-14, [21] PFC-1 [22] and HOF-TCBP [23] )t os tudy their C 3 H 6 and C 3 H 8 adsorption properties.A ll the other selected HOFs are based on hydrogen-bonded carboxylic acid dimers,w ith large pore S15). In contrast, the C 3 H 6 and C 3 H 8 uptake capacities of HOF-11 isomer is 62.3 and 56.0 cm 3 g À1 , respectively,at298 Kand 1bar (Figure S12a), showing alow C 3 H 6 /C 3 H 8 uptake difference (by 11 %).…”
