A Novel Image Encryption Algorithm Based on a Fractional-Order Hyperchaotic System and DNA Computing

Abstract: In the era of the Internet, image encryption plays an important role in information security. Chaotic systems and DNA operations have been proven to be powerful for image encryption. To further enhance the security of image, in this paper, we propose a novel algorithm that combines the fractional-order hyperchaotic Lorenz system and DNA computing (FOHCLDNA) for image encryption. Specifically, the algorithm consists of four parts: firstly, we use a fractional-order hyperchaotic Lorenz system to generate a pseud… Show more

“…Our proposed ICEEMDAN-SCA-RVFL uses the framework of "divide and conquer" that was widely used in image processing, fault diagnosis, and so on [47][48][49][50][51]. Firstly, ICEEMDAN is used to divide the nonlinear and nonstationary series of crude oil prices into a group of relatively simple subseries, including several IMFs and one residue.…”

“…In recent years, image encryption has become a hot topic in the field of image security. However, since images usually show some intrinsic properties such as bulky data capacity, high redundancy, and strong correlation, traditional encryption algorithms such as data encryption standard (DES), advanced encryption standard (AES), and international data encryption algorithm (IDEA) for common data are not able to be applied to images directly to achieve good results [1,2]. To cope with this issue, various researchers have been devoted to proposing image encryption algorithms to enhance image security in recent years.…”
