Abstract:Lubricin or proteoglycan-4 (PRG-4) is a mucinous glycoprotein lubricating the cartilage and maintaining normal tissue function and cell-homeostasis. AlteredO-glycoforms of lubricin has been found in osteoarthritis (OA) synovial fluid (SF).
