A Novel Fluorescence Quenching Method for the Determination of Aloe Polysaccharide

Abstract: Alizarin red (AR) can bind with aloe polysaccharide (APS) in doubly de-ionized water to form a red complex resulting in fluorescence quenching of it. The maximum fluorescence quenching wavelength is 572 nm. The chromogenic reaction is rapid and the fluorescence intensity remains stable for at least 2 h at room temperature. for APS and the mean recovery (100.2±2)%, RSD≤3%.
