A Novel Fabrication of Dose-Dependent Injectable Curcumin Biocomposite Hydrogel System Anesthetic Delivery Method for Care and Management of Musculoskeletal Pain

Abstract: Chronic musculoskeletal pain has biological, psychological, and social components. In this article, we have demonstrated the easily injectable nanocomposite carrier for the treatment of chronic musculoskeletal pain. Briefly, the curcumin (Cur) loaded with lipid nanocapsules (LNCs; Cur@LNCs) using the phase invasion method. The synthesized Cur@LNCs were characterized by using scanning electron microscopy, transmittance electron microscopy, and the size of the fabricated nanoparticles confirmed by dynamic light … Show more

“…However, only a few studies have looked into the effects of curcumin formulations in neuropathic pain, specifically diabetic and CCI-induced neuropathies [ 27 , 28 , 29 , 30 , 31 , 32 , 33 , 34 ] ( Figure 3 ). Table 6 summarizes the effects of different curcumin formulations on neuropathic pain.…”

“…Different curcumin formulations have been employed in order to improve the bioavailability mainly by providing protection against chemical degradation of curcumin [ 27 , 28 , 29 , 30 , 31 , 32 , 33 , 34 ]. These formulations include encapsulation technologies of curcumin into nanoparticles or microparticles and introduced in food or supplemental products [ 35 ].…”

“…The burst or persistent release of the BPV medication produced from the disintegration of the CS-GP/PC polymeric hydrogel may have induced the tissue reactions prompted by the controlled release compositions (Jiang et al., 2020 ). The majority of the inflammatory cells and infection were seen in the soft tissue surrounding the residues, with very little inflammation in the muscle.…”

“…This prototype demonstrated potent wound healing capabilities under cyclic deformation, creating potential applications for use for injuries in mechanically active areas. A lipid nanoparticle-based hydrogel loaded with curcumin is reported by Jiang et al to reduce the chronic musculoskeletal pain via a local delivery method [ 28 ]. The targeted delivery to the MSKS demonstrates the innovation of methods of drug delivery specific to MSKS tissue.…”
