“…For complexes described in this work two signals appeared on the 31 P{ 1 H} NMR spectrum in contrast to the previously synthesised compounds, 26,34,36,65 where only one phosphorus signal was observed. Spectroscopic studies showed that all the complexes are stable in solutions for several days, also in the presence of water and oxygen.…”

“…5 It is becoming popular to modify the structures that are used in medical therapeutics by attaching other chemical moieties thereto, responsible for their more-selective transport or for changing the biological properties. [19][20][21][22][23][24] They show antitumour, 23,25,26 antibacterial, 27 antiviral, 28,29 antifungal 30 and anti-inflammatory 31 activities, which make them very good candidates as drugs. [9][10][11] A wide range of coordination numbers and geometries, the different redox states available, various thermodynamic and kinetic properties, as well as the intrinsic properties of metal ions may result in a variety of reactions.…”

“…Obtained results suggested rather a mixed mechanism of the quenching of the surface Trp‐134 residue, rather than involving the quenching of the pocket Trp‐212. However, our previous studies on the quenching of the tryptophan luminescence in BSA and HSA together with the competitive interactions with warfarin [site I marker ] performed for 1I and [CuI(2,2′‐biquinoline) 1 ] , strongly suggest that these complexes bind to the albumins in site I located in subdomain IIA.…”

“…This work is a part of our ongoing studies on tris(aminomethyl)phosphines and their complexes with copper(I) iodide or isothiocyanate and diimines . Our previously obtained results indicate that the copper(I) iodide complexes with tris(aminomethyl)phosphines and with 2,9‐dimethyl‐1,10‐phenanthroline (dmp) ligand showed much higher antimicrobial activity than the ones with 1,10‐phenanthroline (phen) or 2,2′‐biquinoline (bq) . Therefore, we decided to continue our research and investigate the impact of phosphine ligands and (pseudo)halogen anions on the observed biological properties.…”

“…There is also a possibility of relatively rapid implementation of a quantitative measurement of the elements in the material studied using scanning electron microscopy with an energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDX). SEM-EDX method is now widely recognized as a tool, which is applied in many scientific disciplines [18][19][20][21][22][23] . This technique allows precise identification and imaging of the distribution of ions of chemical elements being a part of the organic material under test.…”
