Abstract:A novel compact dual band microstrip-fed antenna with harmonic suppression which works at 2.45 GHz and 5.8 GHz is firstly proposed in this paper. By exploiting T-shaped microstrip structure, the 1 st and 2 nd harmonic frequencies are suppressed effectively. Meanwhile, two Ushaped patches fit together are used to take full advantage of the space, thus the antenna total size is reduced greatly as well. Furthermore, dual bands can be achieved.
