A Novel Compact Antenna for Passive UHF RFID Tag Using π-Match and Meander Techniques

Abstract: In this work, a novel passive tag antenna has been designed, investigated and proposed for UHF RFID applications. It has a small size and can operate in the North and South American band (902-928 MHz). The proposed antenna was etched on a low-cost FR4 substrate with an overall size of 54 × 24 × 0.8 mm 3 in order to be applied as UHF RFID tag antenna at the center frequency of 915 MHz.
