“…This behaviour has been characterised for the development of fluorescent molecular sensors for the detection of specific anionic molecules [28][29][30][31] . Moreover, the interaction between anions and fluorescent urea compounds in solution has been considered to be the cause of fluorescence quenching 32,33 , and the light-emission characteristics of fluorescent urea derivatives in the solid-state have almost never been examined 34 . We have developed a molecular design for the two urea substituents at the ortho-positions on the peri-phenyl rings on the naphthalene ring (p-2Urea) based on the characteristics of the molecular structures of conventional AIEE dyes.…”

“…Therefore, the emission spectra cover the entire visible region ranging from 400 nm to 700 nm leading to white light emission (WLE). [21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28] This exceptional feature enables white light emitter chromophores to be utilized in single-component white organic light-emitting diodes (WOLEDs). 29 In this study, in continuation of our previous reports 13, [30][31][32][33] we synthesized a new D-p-A 2,6-distyryl naphthalene molecule containing an amino group as electron-donating and sulfonyl group as electron-withdrawing group in the terminals of the pconjugated system.…”

“…Moreover, SWLE-based lighting devices can enjoy lower fabrication costs and less driving voltage than traditional lighting sources. [13][14][15] White uorescence can be obtained through different photochemical procedures such as excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT), [16][17][18][19] aggregation-induced emission (AIE), [20][21][22] halochromism [22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30] or their combinations. [31][32][33] Halochromism is a speci c type of ionochromism in which a change in pH value can induce the color of a uorescent compound.…”
