Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET) is the framework for social networking with a realistic framework. In the MANET environment, based on the query, information is transmitted between the sender and receiver. In the MANET network, the nodes within the communication range are involved in data transmission. Even the nodes that lie outside of the communication range are involved in the transmission of relay messages. However, due to the openness and frequent mobility of nodes, they are subjected to the vast range of security threats in MANET. Hence, it is necessary to develop an appropriate security mechanism for the data MANET environment for data transmission. This paper proposed a security framework for the MANET network signature escrow scheme. The proposed framework uses the centralised Software Defined Network (SDN) with an ECC cryptographic technique. The developed security framework is stated as Escrow Elliptical Curve Cryptography SDN (EsECC_SDN) for attack detection and classification. The developed EsECC-SDN was adopted in two stages for attack classification and detection: (1) to perform secure data transmission between nodes SDN performs encryption and decryption of the data; and (2) to detect and classifies the attack in the MANET hyper alert based Hidden Markov Model Transductive Deep Learning. Furthermore, the EsECC_SDN is involved in the assignment of labels in the transmitted data in the database (DB). The escrow handles these processes, and attacks are evaluated using the hyper alert. The labels are assigned based on the k-medoids attack clustering through label assignment through a transductive deep learning model. The proposed model uses the CICIDS dataset for attack detection and classification. The developed framework EsECC_SDN's performance is compared to that of other classifiers such as AdaBoost, Regression, and Decision Tree. The performance of the 6666 CMC, 2023, vol.74, no.3 proposed EsECC_SDN exhibits ∼3% improved performance compared with conventional techniques.

Mobile Ad Hoc network (MANET) is a connection of mobile nodes that are joined together to communicate and share information using a wireless link.Some of the MANET in use include mobile smart phones, laptops, personal digital assistant (PDAs), among others.However, MANET has been known for the major challenge of being vulnerable to malicious attacks within the network. One of the techniques which have been used by several research works is the cryptographic approach using advanced encryption technique (AES). AES has been found suitable in the MANET domain because it does not take much space in mobile nodes which are known for their limited space resources. But one of the challenges facing AES which has not been given much attention is the optimal generation of its secret keys. So, therefore, this research work presents a symmetric cryptography technique by developing a model for the optimal generation of secret keys in AES using the linear function mayfly AES (LFM-AES) algorithm. The developed model was simulated in MATLAB 2020 programming environment. LFM-AES was compared with mayfly-AES, particle swarm optimization AES (PSO-AES) using encryption time, computational time, encryption throughput, and mean square error. The simulation results showed that LFM-AES has lower encryption, computational, mean square error, and higher encryption throughput. Wireless networks with a large number of peer nodes are known as mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). In MANETs, the mobility of nodes causes a number of challenges, including path preservation, battery life, safety, dependability, and unexpected connection characteristics. As a result, the network’s quality of service (QoS) would be compromised (QoS). For the discovery and maintenance of pathways in MANETs, the routing protocol is critical. By implementing the multicast routing protocol, the MANET network’s reliability may be improved significantly. Evaluation of multicast routing for quality of service (QoS) is the primary goal of this study. In multicasting, data packets from one node are transmitted to a set of receiver nodes at a time, simultaneously. Multicasting reduces transmission costs. Cluster head selection is one of the challenges in MANET. This proposed research paper optimal route selection (ORS) provides the cluster head selection and alternate cluster head selection for avoiding the failure of the cluster head, generation of the optimal path between the cluster head and member node based on reliability pair factor and node’s energy, and establishment of the path based on maximum energy and number of hops between the nodes (minimum number of hops). In comparison to existing methods, ORS is more effective in the energy-efficient path between base station and cluster head, and member node is provided by an ORS route. Results show that the proposed ORSMAN has higher throughput, minimum latency, minimum jitter, and maximum packet delivery ratio, when compared to the existing methodologies.
