The tear strength of textiles is a crucial characteristic of product quality. However, during the laboratory testing of this indicator, factors such as equipment operation, human intervention, and test environment can significantly influence the results. Currently, there is a lack of traceable records for the influencing factors during the testing process, and effective classification of testing activities is not achieved. Therefore, this study proposes a state-awareness and classification approach for fabric tear performance testing based on multi-source data. A systematic design is employed for fabric tear performance testing activities, which can real-time monitor electrical parameters, operational environment, and operator behavior. The data are collected, preprocessed, and a Decision Tree Support Vector Machine (DTSVM) is utilized for classifying various working states, and introducing ten-fold cross-validation to enhance the performance of the classifier, forming a comprehensive awareness of the testing activities. Experimental results demonstrate that the system effectively perceives fabric tear performance testing processes, exhibiting high accuracy in the classification of different fabric testing states, surpassing 98.73%. The widespread application of this system contributes to continuous improvement in the workflow and traceability of fabric tear performance testing processes.

CPVC is an increasingly popular material for plumbing pipes and other applications that require strong and temperature-resistant material. This resin is created using a chlorination process, giving it Chlorine levels that range from 63 to 69% and thus a unique set of characteristics that make it ideal for certain applications. CPVC's combination of corrosion-resistance and low installation costs make it a great substitute for copper in environments with non-ambient conditions such as higher temperatures. This makes it an economic choice for many projects that require smaller budgets. With a variety of applications, CPVC provides a great alternative requiring strong and durable material. The aim of this paper is to characterize the mechanical characteristics of chlorinated PVC (CPVC). Tensile tests were carried on the compounds at different temperatures ranging from -20 to 90°C and crosshead speeds from 5 to 500 mm/min. The results were analyzed to determine how crosshead speed and temperature affected on the mechanical characteristics of CPVC specimens. Two damage models are then developed, one model obtained through by adapting the unified theory version and the other quasi-experimental static model based on ultimate stress. These models allow us to evaluate the damage evolution of CPVC samples and to determine the safety and maintenance intervals of this material.

Wind tunnel tests and numerical simulations are the mainstream methods to study the wind-induced vibration of structures. However, few articles use statistical parameters to point out the differences and errors of these two research methods in exploring the wind-induced response of membrane structures. The displacement vibration of a saddle membrane structure under the action of wind load is studied by wind tunnel tests and numerical simulation, and statistical parameters (mean, range, skewness, and kurtosis) are introduced to analyze and compare the displacement data. The most unfavorable wind direction angle is 0° (arching direction). The error between experiment and simulation is less than 10%. The probability density curve has a good coincidence degree. Both the test and simulation show a certain skewed distribution, indicating that the wind-induced vibration of the membrane does not obey the Gaussian distribution. The displacement response obtained by the test has good stability, while the simulated displacement response has strong discreteness. The difference between the two research methods is quantitatively given by introducing statistical parameters, which is helpful to improve the shortcomings of wind tunnel tests and numerical simulations.
