“…The displayed cases are performed at the Supercomputing Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in which each blade node contains two ten-core Intel Xeon E5-2680 V2 processors with a clock speed of 2.8 GHz and 64.0 GB RAM. According to Wen and Ren [2018], the particle spacing of 2.0 cm can reasonably produce a good agreement with the experimental data. Therefore, considering the calculation accuracy and the computational e±ciency of the SPH model, the initial particle spacing of 2.0 cm is implemented in this paper.…”

“…Generally, the momentum wave maker zone is acquiescently placed along the whole water depth in the extant literatures, and it can give a good agreement between the predicted and targeted wave surfaces under shallow and intermediate water conditions (Liu et al [2015]), while it will produce a large error in the predicted wave surface under deep water conditions. Following Wen and Ren [2018], the wave maker zone is installed only in the upper region of 0.5L depth when the relative water depth d=L > 0:5 and the nominal water depth is set as 0.5L to calculate the corresponding parameters in Eqs. (7) and (8) in the present model.…”

“…The latest work of Wen and Ren [2018] and He et al [2018a] has enabled the SPH method to simulate random wave and wave-current¯elds. Thus, in the future, dynamics of the heaving SHP under real marine environment is planned to be investigated.…”

“…Beach configuration for wave absorption is commonly used in water-basin experiments due to its simplicity. In simulations, some other boundary conditions, such as opened boundary [40] or sponge-like boundary [41], have also been utilised.…”
